DS Electrical is based in Glastonbury (BA6). We work to a strict 40-minute drive radius from base — that keeps response times short, callout costs honest, and means we're not stretched thin on jobs we can't get back to. Inside that radius sit the six towns below, plus the Levels villages, the Mendip slopes and the rural commuter belt around Bruton and Castle Cary.

Six priority towns. Forty-minute drive maximum. One Glastonbury base. No subcontractors, no agency labour — if Dan booked it, Dan or one of his named team is on site.
Our home base. Medieval and Georgian town-centre cottages, Victorian terraces on Bove Town and Wells Road, eco self-builds at Beckery, and rural farmhouses out across the Levels. Fastest response in the region — we're often on site the same day for emergencies.
England's smallest city — cathedral close, Vicars' Close, Tor Street terraces and Georgian merchant houses on the Liberty. Heavy on heritage and listed-building work where like-for-like rewires, surface conduit and discreet cable routes matter. Plenty of holiday-let and B&B EICRs around the Cathedral Green.
UNESCO Georgian city — Bath stone terraces, listed Crescents, basement conversions and high-end residential renovations. The bulk of our Bath work is full rewires for period homes, EV charger installs on hill-street parking, and three-phase upgrades for restaurant and retail fit-outs in the city centre.
Independent retailer hub — Catherine Hill shop fits, mill conversions on the Trinity, terraced housing across Whatcombe and Innox Hill, and a strong creative-studio scene that needs proper data cabling and PoE. Our Frome jobs split fairly evenly between commercial fit-outs and domestic rewires on Victorian stock.
Market town with strong industrial estate footprint — Charlton Trading, Cannards Grave and Mendip Business Park keep us busy with commercial maintenance contracts, three-phase distribution work and warehouse lighting. Domestic side covers Kilver Street, Bowlish and the new estates at Old Wells Road.
High-spec rural commuter town — Hauser & Wirth, At The Chapel, and a wave of London-money barn conversions and gentlemen's farmhouses through Pitcombe, Wyke Champflower and Brewham. Bruton work skews to high-end residential rewires, hidden EV charging, smart-home integration and discreet CCTV/intruder packages.
Inside the 40-minute radius from Glastonbury we also work regularly across these neighbouring areas. Outside this circle we don't take new work — better to refer you to a local sparks than stretch our response times.
