Electrical work for Radstock homes: tracing faults, adding sockets and lights, kitchen and bathroom circuits, electric showers, outside power and new consumer units. Priced by the job, tested and certified.
Priced per job, with a fixed written quote before we start.

Most calls we get from Radstock are not big projects. A circuit that keeps tripping. Sockets that stopped working after a storm. A kitchen being refitted that needs the cooker and hob circuits sorted. Outside lights for a back garden that slopes away from the house. We take those jobs as seriously as a rewire, because a small job done badly is how most dangerous installations start.
Every job is priced before we start. For small jobs we give you the price on the phone or from photos; for anything bigger we survey first and put it in writing. There are no open-ended day rates.
All notifiable work is certified and registered with Building Control through our NAPIT registration (66245), and non-notifiable additions get a Minor Electrical Installation Works Certificate so you have a record of what was done.
In the older terraces the jobs that come up most are tripping RCDs caused by a single damp outdoor socket or tired immersion heater, sockets added years ago without an earth, and kitchens that were extended at the back of the house on a circuit never designed for it. Finding the actual fault, rather than replacing the board and hoping, is the first job.
On the estates around Westfield and Writhlington we are more often adding: a socket circuit in a garage, a supply to a garden room, a dedicated circuit for an electric shower, or extra downlights in a kitchen-diner. These houses usually have accessible lofts and suspended floors, which keeps the cost down.
Some older houses have cellars, and cellar lighting and sockets are a common request. Cellars can be damp, so we use suitable enclosures and protection and test insulation resistance before connecting anything.
Everything below is done in-house, tested and certified.
Your quote will be specific to the house. Kitchen and bathroom electrics depend on the circuits and fittings involved, a consumer unit on the size of the property and its circuits, and an EICR on the size of the installation and the number of circuits. We look first, then quote a fixed price in writing.
You speak to one of the two directors, not a call centre.
