Can you put fleet chargers in at a Glastonbury depot?

Type A RCBO per socket (mandatory), dynamic load balancing so the supply doesn't trip during the 23:00-05:00 charge window, and OCPP back-office Cat6/4G hand-off so you can bill drivers.

Is OZEV Workplace Charging Scheme really £350 per socket?

Yes — the OZEV Workplace Charging Scheme covers £350 per socket up to a maximum of 40 sockets (so £14,000 max per applicant). You must apply BEFORE we install — we'll handle the WCS voucher application and submit the post-install evidence pack on your behalf. The scheme is for businesses, charities and public-sector bodies with off-street parking.

Why does an EV charger need a Type A RCBO and not Type AC?

BS 7671 Amendment 2 and the IET EV charging Code of Practice both require Type A (or Type B) RCD protection for every EV charger. Type AC RCDs cannot detect the DC residual currents that EV charging produces — under fault, they can blind and fail to trip. Every install we do gets a Type A RCBO per socket as standard. We'll never fit a Type AC on an EV circuit.
