Wells is a compact cathedral city, the school estate is small but unusually heritage-heavy. Wells Cathedral School itself sits inside the Cathedral Close (Grade I), with boarding houses across the city. Tor Street, St Cuthbert's, Stoberry Park primary stock, much of it is Victorian and Edwardian masonry, surface-mounted galvanised conduit only, listed-building consent on most exterior runs. The newer All Hallows / Wells Blue site mix is easier but still small-cell wiring with limited containment.
