TrustMark is the only UK government-endorsed quality scheme for trades that work in and around the home. DS Electrical is listed as a TrustMark contractor.

What TrustMark means

Backed by Government. Vetted by industry.

TrustMark is operated under licence from the UK government's Department for Energy Security & Net Zero. Membership requires every listed contractor to meet three independently-checked standards before being allowed to display the logo.

01 / TECHNICAL

Technical competence

Members are checked annually against the technical standards of their trade. For electrical work, that means full Part P registration, BS 7671 compliance, and a competent-person scheme membership (in our case, NAPIT).

02 / CUSTOMER

Customer service

Quoting, contracts, complaint handling and dispute resolution are all checked against TrustMark's customer charter. Members agree to a published code of practice covering how they treat customers.

03 / TRADING

Trading standards

Identity, insurance and trading history are verified. Listed contractors are committed to fair trading, advertising honestly, and operating to consumer law, checked annually.

What we sign up to as a TrustMark contractor.

It's not just a logo on the van. To stay listed we agree, in writing, to a public code of conduct. Some of the things we commit to:

Honest quotes. Clear, written quotes, not "we'll let you know what it costs at the end".
Compliant work. Every installation to BS 7671 18th Edition, every job certified through NAPIT, every notifiable job registered for Part P building control.
Fair complaint handling. If something goes wrong, we deal with it ourselves first; if you're not happy, TrustMark provides an independent escalation route.
Insurance backing. Members maintain the public liability cover required for the work they undertake. We carry £2M.
Annual checks. Listed status isn't a one-off, TrustMark and our scheme operator (NAPIT) re-check us every year.
