BS 7671Every Quantum in the current range is the same height and depth, 730mm high and 185mm deep. What changes is the width and how much heat it stores overnight. We size each room at survey, so you get the right heater in each room rather than one size everywhere.

Storage capacities and dimensions are Dimplex’s published figures for the Quantum RF range. Widths run from 580mm (QM050) up to 1069mm (QM150). We measure your wall space at survey, so the heater fits the spot it’s going in.

Older storage heaters charge on a manual dial and dump heat whether you’re in or not. Quantum is a high heat retention heater with its own electronic control. Features below are from Dimplex’s own specification.

The price depends on how many heaters, which sizes, and whether the existing circuits can be reused. So we survey first, then give you one fixed written quote covering the heaters, fitting, circuit work, testing and certificate, with disposal of any old heaters listed separately. VAT @ 20% on a separate line.
It depends on the room: its size, how well it is insulated, the windows and how you use it. We look at each room at survey and recommend a size per room. Bigger or colder rooms need more stored heat, so a QM125 or QM150; bedrooms and small rooms usually suit a QM050 or QM070. We don't guess sizes over the phone.
Yes, that is the most common job. The old heaters are isolated, disconnected and removed (disposal is a separate line on the quote), the existing circuits are tested, and they are reused where they are sound and suitable. Where they are not, new circuits are run. Dimplex designed Quantum as an upgrade for older storage heaters.
Some storage heaters made before the mid-1970s contain asbestos. We don't handle asbestos. If we suspect it at survey, we will tell you, and the old heaters need to be removed by a licensed asbestos specialist before we fit the new Quantum heaters.
Quantum charges on an off-peak supply and also needs a 24-hour supply for its controls and top-up heat. If you already have storage heaters, an off-peak arrangement is usually in place already. We check what you have at survey. Dimplex also say Quantum can work with certain smart tariffs.
Every heater in the current range has a built-in RF module. Add the Dimplex Control Hub and each heater can be controlled from the Dimplex Control smartphone app. The hub can go on the same quote.
Not always. Each heater needs its supplies protected by an RCBO. Older boards often have no spare ways or no RCD protection. We check at survey, and if an upgrade is needed it is priced as a separate line on your quote before any work starts.
