Every circuit is dead-tested for insulation resistance at 500 V DC, loop-tested against short-circuit fault current, RCD-timed at ½× and 5× IΔn, continuity-verified, polarity-checked. All on calibrated Megger kit that costs £1,400 new and has to be re-certified annually. The inspector holds the C&G 2391 / 2394 / 2395 Level 3 Award in Inspection, Testing & Certification, is current on BS 7671:2018+A2 18th Edition, and pays an annual NAPIT subscription so the certificate is legally valid for landlord compliance, lender surveys and insurance. That’s what £30 per circuit actually pays for — not a box-tick.
